The Monterey County Business Council is excited to announce the Supervisor Speaker Series for the 2021 year! The next Supervisor speaking in the series will be Supervisor Mary Adams.
Learn more about Supervisor Adams below:
Supervisor Mary Adams represents Monterey County’s Fifth District, which, in addition to the City of Monterey, includes the cities of Pacific Grove and Carmel, as well as Carmel Valley, Big Sur, and the unincorporated area along Highway 68 through Toro Park.
Mary was first elected to serve as Supervisor in 2016 and reelected in 2020. In her first years as Supervisor, Mary proved herself a capable advocate on issues ranging from disaster and economic recovery to land use to creative solutions to our county’s housing and homelessness crisis. She has also shown herself to be leader on the board, pressing for transparency and fiscal accountability.
Prior to her election, Mary’s 30-year career was dedicated to solving problems for local families, including 14 years as President and CEO of United Way Monterey County and taking on Big Tobacco with the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Foundation.
